SAIL = Steel Authority of India Limited, a Maharatna steel company of the Government of India. SeQR is the brand name of SAIL’s TMT bar and is read as “Secure”. The letters “EQR” are commonly understood as earthquake-resistant, which is why SAIL SeQR is called an earthquake-resistant TMT bar.
